LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LAX)

NORTH COMPLEX OUTBOARD RUNWAY 24R/6L CLOSURE

January 5, 2019 at 1 PM to January 6, 2019 at 8 AM

LAX will temporarily close the north outboard runway (24R/6L) to perform runway maintenance for 19 hours on Saturday, January 5th at 1 PM through Sunday January 6th at 8 AM.

Persons living near LAX may notice a change in aircraft flight activity and noise during the closure of Runway 24R/6L as aircraft that normally land on the north outboard runway (24R/6L) will instead land on the north inboard runway (24L/6R). In addition, with only one runway (24L/6R) available for landing and takeoff on the north complex during this closure, go-around operations may occur and some aircraft operations may shift from the north to the south runway complex.

The FAA plans to conduct Over-Ocean Operations between 12 AM and 6:30 AM during this closure, as weather and operational conditions permit.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this temporary situation.
